QPIDS standards

QPIDS accreditation standards have been put together in collaboration with the immunology community, including our valued patient groups, and are reviewed every 5 years to ensure they remain appropriate, relevant and reflect national guidance. The latest version of QPIDS standards launched in October 2025.

Our standards cover all aspects of a high-quality immunology service and are organised into six domains:

  1. Leadership, strategy, and management
  2. Systems to support service delivery
  3. Person-centred treatment and/or care
  4. Risk and patient safety
  5. Clinical effectiveness
  6. Workforce

Immunology services demonstrate they are meeting the standards by uploading evidence onto an online platform. For example, to demonstrate effective patient experience, the evidence requirements will include a policy, survey responses, and actions taken as a result of the feedback.

The full set of standards and evidence guidance is available to registered services only. However, below is a publicly available version which gives an overview of the domains.

The standards apply to paediatric and adult immunology services in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
