| Dr Sarah Goddard QPIDS clinical lead Dr Sarah Goddard established the North Midlands Immunology Service in 2010, creating a regional centre that delivers specialist allergy and clinical immunology care across the North West Midlands. She is Lead for Laboratory Immunology and a Lecturer at Keele Medical School. Her clinical and academic interests include quality improvement in immunodeficiency services, complex common variable immunodeficiency (CVID), and the optimisation and governance of immunoglobulin use.
Dr Goddard founded the West Midlands Immunology Network in 2011 and established the North Midlands Subregional Immunoglobulin Assessment Panel. She has contributed to the NHS England Immunoglobulin Working Group and represented the West Midlands on the NHS England Clinical Reference Group for Immunology. Nationally, she is a regular invited speaker on complex CVID and hereditary angioedema (HAE). She also chairs the UK National Multi Specialty Meeting for complex CVID, fostering cross disciplinary collaboration to improve outcomes for this rare and challenging patient group.

| Christine Symons Nurse advisor Christine is a consultant nurse for immunology and allergy at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth where she was among the wave of new Immunology and Allergy Specialist nurses in the UK 20 or so years ago. She set up the home therapy service for Devon and Cornwall and now oversees the expanded nurses’ team. In 2009, she completed her MSc in Allergy and is a non-medical prescriber, routinely prescribing for immune deficiency and allergy patients. She sits on the Medical Advisory Boards of HAEUK and UKPIPS and has acted as Chair for HAE-INO, and for SWWING. Christine is an honorary university fellow with University of Plymouth Peninsula school of medicine and dentistry and has been involved in a number of published research projects, clinical trials and audits.

Cynthia Yim Programme Manager Cynthia is the Senior Project Manager for the Accreditation Unit at the Royal College of Physicians. Cynthia manages three national accreditation programmes, the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Services Accreditation Scheme (PRSAS), the Improving Quality in Allergy Services (IQAS) and the Quality in Primary Immunodeficiency Services (QPIDS) programmes. Cynthia graduated with a BSc in Biomedical Science from St George’s University of London and has worked in project management and exam delivery for the past 10 years, including the delivery of national and international MRCP(UK) examinations, the development and roll-out of the JETS Workforce competency-based training programme for the endoscopy workforce and various accreditation programmes. Cynthia has a passion for healthcare improvement and service development. Cynthia works closely with PR services, commissioners, national stakeholders, and NHS England to support the PR community working towards achieving service accreditation. |  |
Roza Jura Senior Programme Coordinator Roza has recently joined the team as Senior Programme Coordinator and is responsible for assessment management and supporting services throughout their accreditation journey. She is also responsible for engagement and outreach and is passionate about healthcare improvement. Roza has previously worked in the PRSAS and JAG endoscopy programmes and brings a wealth of experience to the role. |  |
Ellen Bowyer Programme Coordinator Ellen is a programme coordinator and is passionate about supporting services throughout their accreditation journey. Ellen is also responsible for delivering programme training, both virtual and face-to-face, and resource curation. Prior to joining the accreditation unit, Ellen worked in the social care sector. |  |
Alex Yeung Programme Coordinator Alex is responsible for training and web development related to the accreditation journey. Before Alex joined the Royal College of Physicians, he worked as an administrator for a sixth form college and is currently studying Counselling. Out of work Alex is keen on reading books with a cup of coffee. |  |
