As 2024 comes to a close, we’re thrilled to reflect on an exciting year for both the IQAS and QPIDS programmes. A major highlight was the review of our standards, aligning the two programmes to create a streamlined approach. These updated standards will launch in 2025, and we’re eager to share them with you.
This year, we celebrated nine QPIDS reaccreditations and three IQAS reaccreditations, along with welcoming one new IQAS accredited service in Belfast. It's been a busy year with assessments and we want to take this opportunity to thank our committed assessors for working with us!
We understand several registered services are progressing well with their self-assessments and might be ready for submission in 2025. Thank you for your dedication and progress made — we look forward to continuing to support you on your accreditation journeys in 2025.
Our team grew this year with the addition of Cynthia Yim as Programme Manager. Her expertise has been invaluable across both programmes, helping us better support our services.
To further assist our registered services, we delivered a range of new training sessions, including advanced and beginner-level sessions, and domain specific support sessions run by our clinical and operational teams. These events provided opportunities to discuss challenges, share experiences and learn, and receive guidance from our clinical and operational teams.
We also enjoyed connecting with many of you at the BSACI and BSI-CIPN conferences; it was fantastic to have the opportunity to discuss accreditation with the allergy and clinical immunology communities and we look forward to more of this in 2025.
Looking ahead, we will be releasing a 2025 wall planner with key training dates in the first week of January. 2025 holds special milestones as QPIDS turns 25 and IQAS celebrates its 10th anniversary. Stay tuned for updates through our newsletters and blogs.
