Dr Claire Bethune, MRCP MRCPath
QPIDS clinical lead
Dr Bethune is clinical lead for the Immunology and Allergy services in Plymouth and has developed regional home therapy programmes for both immunoglobulin replacement in antibody deficiency and for acute treatment of attacks of hereditary angioedema. Dr Bethune is also lead clinician for the diagnostic immunology laboratory service in Plymouth.
An enthusiastic teacher, she has developed courses for GPs and medical students in the South West and has been invited to lecture at national and international meetings. As a member of the UKPIN committee, Dr Bethune took on responsibility for the scheme organising accreditation of immunodeficiency centres in 2011 and has worked with the Royal College of Physicians to develop the QPIDS accreditation scheme.
Programme manager - IQAS and QPIDS
Madeline Corrigan is the programme manager for the IQAS and QPIDS accreditation schemes. She is based at the Royal College of Physicians and is responsible for the operational management of the scheme. She works with the clinical lead and the steering group on the scheme's strategy, development and expansion.
Madeline also manages the IQILS scheme, which is an accreditation scheme run by the college for Liver services across the UK.
Previously Madeline has worked in project management, managing the anti-doping services at Major Games throughout the UK.
Accreditation Unit Manager, RCP
Caroline Rogers is the Accreditation Unit Manager at the Royal College of Physicians where she manages a varied clinical service accreditation programme. The RCP's accreditation activities include the JAG endoscopy scheme, the IQILS Liver scheme, the SEQOHS occupational health scheme along with the IQAS allergy scheme and the QPIDS primary immunodeficiency scheme.
Caroline has previously managed national clinical audits and led programmes in healthcare policy development.
Project Coordinator - IQAS & QPIDS
Rumneet is the project coordinator for the IQAS and QPIDS schemes and is based at the Royal College of Physicians. She is responsible for managing assessments and supporting services through the accreditation process.
Additionally Rumneet will be leading on assessor training for the scheme. Rumneet is also a project coordinator for the IQILS scheme, an accreditation scheme run by the college for liver services across the UK.
Rumneet previously spent three years with the JAG accreditation scheme which accredits endoscopy services throughout the UK and is bringing her knowledge to this role.
Accreditation unit administrator - IQAS & QPIDS
Alexia is an administrator, responsible for managing assessments of IQAS & QPIDS services through the assessment process. Alexia leads on invoicing and fee management for participating services.
Prior to joining the accreditation unit, Alexia worked as a Project Administrator in the Falls and Fragility Fracture Audit Programme at the RCP.
